A recent 3-2 win away from home at fellow strugglers, Wehen Wiesbaden, followed by a point in a 1-1 draw with Greuther Furth, seemed to indicate a recovery by Dynamo Dresden in their battle against relegation from the German second tier, but subsequent back-to-back defeats against Hamburg 1-0 and a heavy 4-0 loss at Arminia Bielefeld have heaped further pressure on the visitors in their bid to avoid the drop.
Dynamo Dresden still sit bottom of the 2 Bundesliga and find themselves eight points adrift of fourth from bottom outfit, Nurnberg, and safety as they prepare for this trip to Holstein Kiel, but as their hosts seem to have hit a bit of a bump in the road, Dresden may fancy their chances of springing a surprise here.
An away record of 2-4-9 12/32 is admittedly a bad one but the visitors are fighting for their 2 Bundesliga lives and could still provide a threat in the final third against an out-of-sorts Holstein Kiel outfit here.
