Huddersfield Town Prediction – Can Huddersfield get going?

The Yorkshire club have made a slow start to their return to the Championship following relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season, as The Terriers have picked up just 1 point from their opening two matches of the new season.

It was a disastrous campaign for Huddersfield Town last season in the top flight, leaving many of their fans looking forward to returning to the second tier after witnessing defeat after defeat in what must have been a morale-sapping experience for both players and fans.

Former manager, David Wagner, was sacked midway through the season and his successor, Jan Siewart, has seen little improvement in Huddersfield’s results since taking over the reigns at the John Smith’s Stadium.

This season has seen Huddersfield lose 2-1 at home to Derby County but gain a useful point on the road with a 1-1 draw away at QPR at Loftus Road, to give them something to build upon when they entertain fellow relegated side, Fulham, on Friday night.

Incidentally, 9 of Huddersfield’s last 15 home matches have resulted in both teams scoring.

Fulham Prediction – Can Fulham record back-to-back wins?

It was a similar story for visitors Fulham in last season’s disappointing campaign in the Premier League as the London club also suffered the drop at the end of last season, despite a brief rally during April which saw the Cottagers win 3 matches on the trot under new manager, Scott Parker.

Victories over Everton, Bournemouth and Cardiff City gave the London club a glimmer of hope but unfortunately the familiar losing sequence continued thereafter with Fulham being handed back-to-back defeats to Wolves and Newcastle United to hammer home the final nails in their coffin.

However, a new season brings fresh hope and Fulham will no doubt be keen to bounce straight back up to the Premier League at the first time of asking. They didn’t get this season’s Championship campaign off to a good start though as they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat away at Barnsley on the opening day of the season.

The visitors bounced back though with a much-needed 2-0 home win over Blackburn Rovers last weekend, so they now have a little momentum heading into this Friday night clash against Huddersfield town at the John Smith’s Stadium.

It’s too early to say who’ll win this match, but 7 of Fulham’s last 15 away matches have resulted in both teams scoring, and striker Mitrovic is a danger up front.

Key-Facts – Huddersfield v Fulham
