Hull City Prediction – Can Hull extend unbeaten run?

Having started their season on a losing note following an opening day of the season 2-1 defeat away at Swansea City, Hull City have since bounced back under new boss, Grant McCann, as The Tigers have collected a win and a draw in their subsequent Championship matches.

A 2-1 home win over Reading at their KCOM Stadium handed Hull City their first win of the new season and they backed that up with a resounding 3-0 win away at League One outfit, Tranmere Rovers, in the League Cup.

Hull then grabbed a decent point away at Griffin Park on Saturday afternoon when they held Brentford to a 1-1 draw, and this recent string of results will give Hull City plenty of belief that they can get something from their Tuesday night clash against Blackburn Rovers.

Incidentally, Hull City have suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 15 home matches at their KCOM Stadium in the Championship, that loss being a 3-0 defeat to Sheffield United who later gained automatic promotion up to the Premier League.

Creative playmaker Grosicki and striker Bowen are the ones to watch out for for Hull City.

Blackburn Rovers Prediction – Can Blackburn gain third win on trot?

As the sub-title indicates, Blackburn Rovers will make their way up to Humberside on the back of two wins on the trot which will have been a welcome boost for Rovers who had started their new Championship campaign with back-to-back defeats.

An opening day 2-1 defeat at home to newly promoted Charlton Athletic at Ewood Park was certainly not the start that Blackburn or manager, Tony Mowbray, had in mind and things got worse in their next match when they were handed a 2-0 defeat away at Craven Cottage against newly relegated Fulham.

However, Mowbray’s boys have since bounced back by recording back-to-back wins of their own with a 3-2 home win over Lancashire rivals, Oldham Athletic, in the League Cup and then followed that result up with a solid if uninspiring 1-0 home win against one of Mowbray’s former clubs, Middlesbrough, on Saturday afternoon.

Both of these recent wins were gained at their Ewood Park, and with just 3 away wins from their last 18 matches on their travels though, there’s still plenty of improvement needed for Blackburn Rovers away from home.

Key-Facts – Hull City v Blackburn Rovers

  • Hull City have lost just 1 of their last 15 home matches in the Championship
  • Blackburn have won just 3 of their last 18 away matches in the Championship
  • Hull City have lost just 1 of their last 3 encounters at home against Blackburn

Betting Tips Verdict

Hull City with home advantage at their KCOM Stadium should at least avoid defeat in this encounter.
