Hull City Preview – Can the Tigers make it 12 points from a possible 12?
After winning promotion to the Championship after one season in EFL League One, the Tigers had a tough start to life back in the second tier. They won 4-1 at Preston North End on the opening weekend but went on to lose six and draw three of their following nine.
Hull beat Middlesbrough in early October but a run of five consecutive Championship losses followed. However, they have finally found some form, winning each of their last three to fire themselves away from the bottom three. After 2-0 wins over Barnsley and Birmingham City, Hull won 1-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium in midweek.
Grant McCann & Co. would love to keep their momentum ticking with a fourth straight victory on Saturday. They are the slight favourites with the bookies at 8/5.
Millwall Preview – Can the tough-to-beat Lions return to London with a positive result?
Millwall have been very tough to beat under Gary Rowett this season. Sure, the Lions would have loved more wins, but just Fulham, Cardiff, Luton Town and Huddersfield Town have beaten them in the league this term.
Draws have once again been Millwall’s Achilles heel, though, as the London side have drawn nine of their opening 19. Only bottom club Derby County have drawn more. Since a 1-0 home victory over Reading on 2nd November, Rowett’s men have drawn with Derby, Middlesbrough and Bournemouth in the following three.

Hull City vs Millwall Betting Advice
The last meeting between the two was back in July 2020. Hull were relegated shortly after, with Millwall winning 1-0 on their patch thanks to an early Ryan Leonard goal. The game at The Den almost a year earlier ended in a 1-1 draw.
Millwall have a good recent record in this this fixture, losing just one of the last seven in league and cup. Hull’s last triumph came in February 2019.
Key Facts – Hull City vs Millwall Betting Tip
- Hull have won three games in a row
- Millwall have drawn three on the spin
- The Tigers are now three points above the drop zone
Hull have been enjoying life lately, winning three in a row without conceding a goal. However, Millwall will not be an easy nut to crack this weekend, as only Bournemouth and Fulham have suffered fewer defeats in this term’s Championship. We fancy the Lions to draw again, and there is good value in the draw and under 2.5 goals at 11/4.
Hull have scored the opening goal in their last three games, while Millwall have conceded first in their previous three. With that in mind, take a punt on the home team to open the scoring in this one (10/11).
