Hull City put in a stunning performance at Deepdale on the opening weekend. Grant McCann’s boys ran riot, coming from behind to win 4-1 thanks to goals from Keane Lewis-Potter, Richard Smallwood, Josh Magennis and Andy Cannon.
Lewis-Potter was on target again in midweek, though Hull lost on penalties to League One Wigan Athletic in the first round of the EFL Cup. However, Hull can now turn their attention solely to the Championship for the remainder of 2021.
