Hungary Preview – Can Hungary fight back?
Hungary have the misfortune of being drawn in the ‘group of death’ in Group F alongside the likes of Portugal, France and Germany and the early signs suggest that the Hungarians will do well to even gain a point in their three group matches as they suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Portugal in their Euro 2020 opener.
That defeat to Portugal actually ended a solid run of results for Hungary who had put together an impressive 11-match unbeaten run prior to these European Championship finals, but they’ll have to produce something special if they’re to even have a chance of a 3rd place finish.

France opened their account in Group F with a 1-0 victory over Germany to give France early momentum in the group stage of this Euro 2020 and les Bleus will no doubt be keen to chalk up another three points when they play Hungary on Saturday afternoon.
That victory over Germany became France’s fifth straight win in all competitions and their seventh in their last eight matches overall, so France look to be in ominous form ahead of this encounter against Hungary, whom they’ve beaten in each of their last four meetings.
