Inter Milan Prediction

Prior to the winter break, Inter Milan had strung together a four match run without defeat which had helped them up into 4th place in Serie A and more importantly, one of the automatic spots for Champions League qualification.

The hosts have won three of their last four matches in the Italian top flight with wins recorded against Udinese, 2nd placed Napoli and Empoli and they will go in search of another three points on Saturday evening as they look to consolidate their top four position in Serie A.

Under manager Luciano Spalletti, Inter Milan possess an impressive home recored which stands at 7-1-1 17/4 which includes seven straight wins following their early season home defeat to Parma.

During this impressive period, Inter have kept six clean sheets on the trot, while forwards Icardi (9 goals) and Balde (4 goals) look the most likely to score for the hosts.

Key-Facts – Inter Milan v Sassuolo

  • Inter Milan have kept 6 clean sheets on the trot in Serie A
  • Inter Milan have won their last 7 home matches on the trot
  • Sassuolo have lost their last 3 matches in all competitions

Sassuolo Prediction

Sassuolo currently occupy a mid-table position in Serie A following back-to-back defeats to Roma 3-1 and a heavy 6-2 defeat at home to Atalanta before the winter break, and they face a tough first game back in the second half of the season in Milan on Saturday evening.

Prior to those recent defeats, Sassuolo had managed to gain just one league win from their previous six matches in Serie A which was a 2-0 win at second from bottom club, Frosinone, while four stalemates within these six matches meant that the visitors didn’t really move at all on the league table.

Sassuolo’s away record reads a fairly inconsistent looking 3-2-4 11/11 which, although they’ve registered wins at Chievo and Frosinone (the bottom two clubs in Serie A), have also been handed defeats at Parma and Roma respectively.

Having lost their last three matches on the trot in all competitions though, this looks a tough trip for Sassuolo this weekend.

Betting Tips Verdict

Inter Milan have impressed on home turf this season and look well set to take the points and perhaps cover the asian line too.
