Sampdoria Preview – Can Sampdoria continue revival?
A 2-1 home win against Hellas Verona just before the disruption of the Serie A season helped ease Sampdoria’s relegation worries and lifted the visitors into a fifth from bottom position in the Italian top flight but just one point above the relegation zone.
Sampdoria have had to endure a difficult season amidst a campaign that has never really got going and this upcoming clash at Inter Milan will be another big test for Claudio Ranieri’s side as they look to build upon their 3-1 win at Torino last time out on their travels.
However, an overall away record of 3-1-7 12/22 doesn’t inspire much confidence in the visitors and indeed, the bigger picture shows that Sampdoria have managed to pick up just three wins from their previous 15 matches on their travels in Serie A.
