Israel Prediction – Can Israel make last ditch attempt?

A 3-match unbeaten run to start their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign seemed to be setting Israel up for further success and a possible top two finish in Group G following a 1-1 draw with Slovenia and then back-to-back wins over Austria 4-2 at home and a 3-0 win away at Latvia.

But then disaster struck – a subsequent 4-match sequence without a win which included 3 defeats to Saturday’s opponents, Poland in a 4-0 loss away from home along with losses to Slovenia and Austria, as well as gaining just a point in a 1-1 draw at home with North Macedonia, have now made qualification seem almost impossible.

Mathematically, Israel still have an outside chance of gaining qualification but with just 2 matches remaining in the group stages and 5 points adrift of 2nd placed Austria, Israel’s hopes are now just hanging by a thread.

However, the hosts still remain unbeaten on home soil in Group G with a solid looking record of 2-2-0 9/5 and just 4 defeats out of their last 12 Euro qualifiers at home overall, while joint-leading goalscorer in the qualifiers, Zahavi (11 goals) still poses a threat up front for the hosts.

Poland Prediction – Can Poland finish on a high note?

Poland strung together a 4-match winning streak at the start of this campaign which set the visitors well on their way to qualifying for next year’s European Championships, following wins against Austria, Latvia, North Macedonia and Israel, the latter being a heavy 4-0 win over Saturday’s opponents.

Even though Poland experienced a slight stumble with a 2-0 defeat away at Slovenia and a 0-0 draw at home with Austria, they quickly bounced back to register back-to-back wins over Latvia 3-0 and North Macedonia 2-0 to achieve qualification for the Euro Championships next season with 2 group matches remaining.

Just as impressive during Poland’s successful Euro 2020 qualifying campaign has been their solid defensive unit at the back which has kept a total of 7 clean sheets from their 8 matches played to date in Group G, and Israel look to have a job on their hands if they’re to breach this Polish defence.

Poland’s results away from home in Euro qualifiers have also been steady as the visitors have suffered just 2 defeats out of their last 12 matches on their travels, so they look set to dash Israel’s fading hopes here this Saturday.

Key-Facts – Israel vs Poland

Betting Tips Verdict

Israel have been solid at home so far in this campaign but can they get the better of this solid Polish defence while also keeping Polish striker Lewandowski quiet?
