Japan Preview – Can Japan finish with 100% record?
Seven wins from their seven matches played to date in Group F of these Asian World Cup qualifiers have seen Japan in excellent form as they’ve breezed through the group stage of this 2nd qualifying round, sitting 11 points clear of their nearest rivals, Kyrgystan, and with a 100% winning record.
Japan will therefore be keen to finish with another win here on Tuesday evening in Suita but while the odds for a home win are way too small to contemplate, the prospect of a few goals here looks to hold some value, especially as Japan have racked up a total of 41 goals in their seven matches so far.

Kyrgystan Preview – Can Kyrgystan also progress?
Tuesday’s visitors, Kyrgystan, currently occupy 2nd place in Group F but they’ll need to get something from this match and hope that 4th placed Tajikistan slip up at home against Myanmar, but this may well be easier said than done against the quality of the Japanese.
With victories home and away against Myanmar 7-0 and 8-1 respectively along with a 2-1 win at Mongolia, Kyrgystan have done just about enough to warrant 2nd spot but it remains to be seen whether they’ll progress to the next qualifying round as one of the best runners-up in the group stage.
Nevertheless, Kyrgystan are expected to be on the front foot here as they seek to grab what seems an unlikely win but they’re capable of at least contributing to the goal-tally here if nothing else as they’ve scored 18 goals in seven matches to date.
