World number one Judd Trump breezed through the first stage of the Championship League. He is the outright favourite to take the title, which is no surprise given the record-breaking season that he has had.

Judd Trump won his first stage group as expected. He won all three matches played against Elliot Slessor, Daniel Wells and David Grace. In doing so he dropped just the two frames across the three matches.
