As disappointing a season as it’s been for Juventus, there’s no doubt the 3-0 home defeat was the lowest and most humbling points of the campaign. Even saying that considering their dominance of Italian football over the last 10 years is an indication of how far they have fallen.
Pirlo’s future remains uncertain at best but regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season it’s likely there will be a change in manager for the third successive year in Turin.

It’s been a long time coming for Inter but they have clinched their first title since 2010 and they have done it in style. Antonio Conte’s project has been two years in the making and came with a significant outlay but the drought is over. It’s been a relentless pace set by the new champions and they will now be determined to prove – if there has been any doubt – that there is a power shift in Italy’s top division. They are 13 points clear of second place Atalanta and a further three better off than Saturday’s opponents. They finished a point behind Juve last season so this will be even sweeter.
