Malta are five points adrift of the Islanders but even if they beat Andorra, Faroe Islands will be promoted with a win in this upcoming clash in Riga, on the back of victories over Malta and home and away victories against Andorra.
Faroe Islands were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Latvia while their results have improved away from home in recent times as the visitors have avoided defeat in their last two outings with a 1-1 draw at Malta and a 1-0 win at Andorra.
