Legia Warsaw hold home advantage in this first leg of the crucial Champions League play-offs when they take on Moldovan champions, Sheriff Tiraspol at their Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa on Thursday night.

This earned them a Champions League qualifier slot against Kukesi who they just about squeezed out by virtue of the away goal rule after the tie finished 2-2 on aggregate, but then went out 2-1 on aggregate to Qarabag in the next round.
Sheriff therefore have another chance via the Europa League, but their results away from home have been dreadful as they’ve yet to register an away win on the road at this level from 15 previous trips.
