Leicester City Prediction

Leicester City recently parted ways with former manager Claude Puel after Leicester City lost five of their last six matches in the top flight with the final straw being their heavy 4-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace on the weekend.

The hosts had stumbled to earlier defeats to Southampton, Wolves, Manchester United and Tottenham although The Foxes did hold Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield recently too. However, you can’t keep losing matches and Puel eventually paid the price, and first team coach, Mike Stowell has taken over in the interim.

Stowell’s first job will be to stem the flow of defeats at home as The Foxes have lost their last four on the trot at the King Power Stadium, and previous stints at the helm suggest that Stowell can turn things around pretty quickly here; his previous seven matches in charge of Leicester City have resulted in 4 wins and 3 draws.

Despite recent results going against them, Leicester City have a great opportunity to bounce back with a win here against a Brighton outfit who have tended not to travel too well in the Premier League. The hosts possess a home record of 4-2-7 14/17

Key-Facts – Leicester City v Brighton

  • Leicester City beat Brighton 2-0 in the last meeting at the King Power Stadium
  • Brighton have lost 4 of their last 5 matches away from home
  • Brighton have failed to score in 5 of their 13 away matches

Brighton Prediction

Onto Brighton, and the visitors are still not out of the woods yet in regards possible relegation as they sit just two places and three points above the bottom three ahead of this tricky trip up to the east midlands to face a Leicester City outfit who are keen to impress a potential new manager coming to the club following the recent sacking of Claude Puel.

Brighton have had a couple of weeks to reflect upon their 3-1 defeat at home to Burnley last time out, which became The Seagulls’ fourth defeat in five matches overall in the Premier League after they’d earlier suffered defeats to Liverpool, Manchester United and most damaging of all, a 4-2 loss to Fulham despite being 2-0 up.

Brighton have generally performed well at their AMEX Stadium though this season which has saved them so far, having lost just four at home this term, but it’s been their poor results away from home which have prevented the south coast side from pulling away from the bottom three.

The visitors have lost four of their last five on the road amidst an overall poor record of 2-2-9 12/24 along with failing to score in 5 of their 13 away matches to date.

Betting Tips Verdict

We will see if it’s the players or the manager that was holding Leicester City back here, and the hosts won’t get a better chance to record a long-awaited home win than when Brighton come to town.
