The early kick-off on Saturday in the Premier League features two teams that are currently enjoying revivals of form under their respective new managers as Claude Puel’s Leicester City take on Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium.
A turn around in form has seen Leicester City put together an unbeaten five-match stretch in the top flight which includes having won their last four on the trot with victories over Tottenham, Burnley, Newcastle United and Southampton, and The Foxes now sit in 8th place as a result of this recent winning streak.
The hosts will therefore be keen to keep this momentum going at lunchtime today when they take on bottom three outfit Crystal Palace, and having won three of their last four on home turf, along with the likes of a rejuvenated Mahrez and the non-stop running of Vardy up front, they look in good shape.
Onto Crystal Palace, and they finally grabbed all three points in their midweek 2-1 home win over Watford after being a goal down as they showed an impressive level of resilience to grab the spoils and move closer to safety.
Although Palace still remain in the bottom three, they’re unbeaten in their last six matches overall which includes wins over out of form Stoke City and London rivals, Watford, and it should have been all three points against Bournemouth last Saturday but for Benteke’s inexplicably selfish behaviour.
There is a major drawback for Palace though, and that is their lack of form on the road where they possess a poor away record of 0-2-6 0/13 and are still in search of their first away goal of the season.
Quality in the final third is where the difference lies here, and I believe Leicester have the edge over The Eagles in this department.
