Not that Leicester City have exactly covered themselves in glory so far this season as they’ve slipped to defeats against Manchester United, Liverpool and Bournemouth already this term. The Foxes have recorded two wins to date though in this campaign with wins over Wolves and Southampton which has saved manager Claude Puel – for now.
This match against Huddersfield represents a great chance for The Foxes to push themselves up into the top half of the Premier League, while a defeat would heap more pressure on Puel as the jury still seems to remain out on the French manager.
Leicester will also be keen to produce more consistent results at home too, while the goals seem to have dried up too.
Huddersfield Town are one of four teams still yet to register their first league win of this new Premier League season and The Terriers sit third from bottom as a result, having earned just two points from the first possible 15 on offer to date.
Draws with Cardiff City and Everton have been their only return so far and it’s worth mentioning that these results were against teams that have won zero and one so far this season. Heavy defeats to Chelsea 3-0 and Manchester City 6-1 along with last weekend’s narrow 1-0 loss at home to Crystal Palace ensured David Wagner’s team start this weekend in the bottom three.
With just one win from their last 15 matches in the top flight, there’s also pressure on Wagner to get a result sooner rather than later, but my betting tips suggest Leicester City are better equipped for the points here.
