Brendan Rodgers led his Leicester team to the knockout phase last season but they have work to do if they are to match that feat this campaign. The Foxes sit third coming into this game with five points after four games. Their only win to date came in an incredible 4-3 win in Russia against Spartak Moscow. Summer signing Patson Daka scored all four, leading his team to come from behind after going two goals down early on.
Leicester were unable to follow that up with a win against Spartak at home, only managing a 1-1 draw. They were also held to a draw in their other home game (2-2 against Napoli) whilst they lost out against Legia in Poland, going down 1-0.
With a tough away games in Naples to come to finish the section this is virtually a must win game if Rodgers men are to finish in the top two. Three points here would mean they would be at worst second going into that final game and needing a draw to be certain of qualifying. Two wins should see them top the group.
Leicester’s overall form of late has been disappointing and they have not hit the heights of the last couple of seasons. They’ve won four of their last 15 in all competitions, keeping just one clean sheet.
Legia Warsaw Preview – Are lowly Legia capable of recapturing their best European form?
Legia will be delighted with how their campaign has gone so far. With two games left their fate is in their own hands. Considering they have been placed in a group with teams from Italy and England that is an achievement in itself. The fact they find themselves in the relegation zone of their domestic league makes it even more remarkable.
They come into this game in pretty terrible form having won only once in their last nine. That coming in the Polish Cup. Before that their last win was at home to Leicester and they have lost all the other games in that time.

Having won their first two matches in the group stages of the Europa League Legia found Napoli to be too hot to handle, losing 3-0 and 4-1 in the double header against the Italians. They do have a favourable looking game at home to Spartak to complete the section – a match they will be targeting three points from.
If you offered Legia qualification to the Europa Conference League they would likely take that due to how wretched their season has been to this point.
