French champions Lille are in danger of missing out on the UEFA Champions League next season altogether, as the Mastiffs are currently in sixth position in Ligue 1. It has been a tough campaign for last term’s French top-flight winners, as the club from northern France have picked up just 11 wins from 28 league fixtures.
They have improved slightly in recent games, though, unbeaten in five in the league (three wins, two draws). Lille have also only lost two of their past 16 Ligue 1 matches. Their last defeat in any competition came against Chelsea in the Champions League last month.
