Liverpool v Spartak Moscow Betting Tip Liverpool to score in both halves – 6th December 2017

Champions League Tips

Wednesday 6th December 2017 Kickoff 1945hrs Liverpool v Spartak Moscow Football – Europe – Champions League There is still plenty left to sort out in Group E as three of the four teams can still qualify for the next stage. Perhaps the most interesting and significant of the two games takes place at Anfield where Liverpool hold a narrow lead at the top of the section host Spartak Moscow who absolutely need a win no matter what happens in the other game. The two played out a 1-1 draw in Moscow back in September and that would be enough for the home team to qualify but with Sevilla playing the whipping boys of the group, Liverpool will be looking for all three points to ensure they top the group.

Liverpool’s games are rarely boring and that’s been the case in their five games to date of this group stage. Their games have comprised 22 goals thus far, an average of more than four goals a game. Scoring goals has not been an issue for Jurgen Klopp’s men but they have shot themselves in the foot in both games against Sevilla which is why they need something from this game to guarantee progression. Having conceded a late goal against the Spanish club at Anfield, they absolutely capitulated last time out to throw away a three goal lead and just about manage out with a point. They simply have to be more disciplined and professional in this one.

There’s no doubting it is a bit of a surprise to see Spartak Moscow still in with a chance of making it out this section heading into match day six. Drawn with Liverpool and Sevilla, the expectation was the Russian Champions would struggle to be competitive and would most likely battle it out with Maribor for third place and the Europa League. No matter what happens on Wednesday Spartak know they’ll be playing European football in the new year which gives them some security. Their performances in he group have shown plenty of promise and the fact they have lost only once in their first five matches indicates how stubborn they have been. They’ll need more than a draw against Liverpool to continue in the Champions League but they are unlikely to deviate from a style that has been successful thus far.

Liverpool v Spartak Moscow Betting Tip

There is bound to be some nerves around Anfield tomorrow as so much has went into this campaign that it will only be natural to feel some tension amongst the players and crowd. Klopp firmly believes this is a Champions League team and if they are then the challenge they face is one they can handle. An early goal would be the perfect tonic but we all know that Liverpool and leads is not always a match made in heaven. The Reds were far superior in Moscow but failed to find what would have been a deserved winner. I expect them to prevail here and do so by scoring in both halves in what their fans hope will be a relatively stress free evening.
