The Scottish Premiership provides us with further action on Wednesday night with Livingston taking on St Johnstone as the betting tips continue at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Livingston have made a solid start to their new campaign as the hosts currently occupy fourth place on the league ladder and are just a point adrift of Celtic ahead of these midweek fixtures. The hosts are unbeaten in their last eight matches overall in the league, and all three points tonight could see them move up into second spot.
A home record of 4-1-0 8/1 is also impressive as the home side have won their last four on the trot with wins against Hibernian, Hamilton Academicals, Rangers and Dundee, along with keeping four clean sheets to date too.
St Johnstone sit just below the top six and the Championship Round cut-off ahead of tonight’s trip to Livingston, but recent back-to-back wins over Motherwell and St Mirren have kept them in the hunt for a top six finish.
These recent victories would have certainly been welcome as the visitors had previously suffered three defeats on the trot to Rangers, Hearts and Celtic, with heavy losses experienced against Rangers (5-1) and Celtic (6-0).
St Johnstone’s results away from home have been patchy to say the least amidst an overall record of 2-0-3 5/10 with only the bottom two clubs, St Mirren (15) and Dundee (11) shipping more goals than them away from home in the division to date.
This will be the first time that these teams have met each other this season, and my betting tips are fully expecting a home win here. However, I advise backing Livingston with the draw no bet option tonight.
