Livingston Preview – Can Livingston turn things around?
Livingston are another side who are still searching for their first win of this new Scottish Premiership season as the hosts sit bottom of the pile with just two points to their name ahead of this Saturday’s clash against early high-fliers, Ross County.
Points picked up in draws with Motherwell 2-2 away and a creditable point in a 0-0 draw with Rangers would usually have been considered good results but when you’ve suffered three defeats within the first five matches of the season, these don’t seem enough in return.
Defeats to St Mirren, Hibernian and Aberdeen have dropped Livingston to the bottom of the league and they’re without a win in the top flight from their last nine matches overall; however, form at home has been pretty good overall as Livi have lost just one of their previous 10 matches which includes a 4-0 thumping of Ross County in their last meeting at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Ross County Preview – Can Ross County return to earlier form?
Early back-to-back wins in this new Scottish Premiership season over Motherwell (home) and Hamilton Academical (away) gave Ross County the perfect start to this new campaign but they’ve been unable to sustain their early form as they head into this Saturday’s clash at Livingston without a win from their last three matches.
Draws with Kilmarnock and St Mirren either side of a 2-1 loss at home to Dundee United mean that the visitors are now five points adrift of the top two clubs, Rangers and Hibernian, prior to this weekend’s action.
And although Ross County are still unbeaten away from home this term having won at Hamilton and drawn at St Mirren, the bigger picture on the road doesn’t bode well for The Staggies as they’ve captured just three wins out of their last 24 matches on their travels, along with losing last time out at Livingston 4-0.
