Luton Town Preview – Hatters to extend unbeaten run to five?

Luton Town were tipped by many for relegation before a ball was kicked after surviving by the skin of their teeth last term. However, the Hatters have kicked on under Jones, spending most of this campaign in and around mid-table.

After back-to-back losses to Derby County and Barnsley, Luton have gone on to win three and draw one of their following four. In their last two at home, they have taken four points from matches against Watford and Reading.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score – No

Last time out, Luton pulled off a stunning comeback to win at Bristol City. They were two goals down at the break at Ashton Gate, but second-half strikes from James Collins, Elijah Adebayo and Harry Cornick turned the game on its head.

Luton will want to go unbeaten for the remainder of the season. After Saturday, Town welcome Rotherham United to Kenilworth Road before ending with a trip to Queens Park Rangers next weekend.

Middlesbrough Preview – Can Boro make it three wins on the bounce?

Securing a top-six finish would have been first priority for Neil Warnock and Middlesbrough this season, but the Reds have come up short in the end. Nevertheless, after a couple of poor seasons, mid-table mediocrity might not be such a bad thing for the club from North Yorkshire.

Middlesbrough have picked up wins over Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday since the shackles have been off, but they lost four and drew one of five prior to that, which put paid to any late hopes of breaking into the play-offs.

Luton Town vs Middlesbrough Betting Advice

When these two met at Kenilworth Road at the start of the 2019-20 Championship campaign, the pair played out a thrilling 3-3 draw. Luton won the reverse match at the Riverside Stadium by a goal to nil. However, in this season’s reverse fixture, Middlesbrough picked up a 1-0 victory courtesy of a Chuba Akpom strike.

Key Facts – Luton Town vs Middlesbrough Betting Tip

  • Luton have taken ten points from the last 12 on offer
  • Middlesbrough have won their last two
  • The Hatters have kept three clean sheets in their last four home matches

As we touched on, Middlesbrough sealed a narrow triumph when these two squared off at the Riverside in December. However, we are backing Luton to get revenge this time. The 1-0 home win is available at the generous odds of 7/1.

Since a 1-0 loss to Swansea City on 13th March, Luton have kept three clean sheets in four at Kenilworth Road, keeping Coventry City, Watford and Reading at bay. Take a punt on the hosts to win to nil in this one at the decent price of 10/3.
