Luton Town Preview – Hatters to start new season with a home win?
Luton Town did remarkably well to keep themselves in the Championship last season. Nathan Jones, who helped the Hatters to the 2018-19 EFL League One title, returned to the club and made an instant impact at Kenilworth Road.
Luton were very hard to beat at the end of last term, losing only one of their last 12 in the Championship. After a surprise 5-0 home loss to Reading in July, Town ended their season with three wins and two draws from five. They survived on the final day by beating Blackburn Rovers 3-2 at Kenilworth Road. In the end, Luton finished in 19th on 51 points.
Of course, Championship survival will be Luton’s priority this season. It will no doubt be another tough campaign for the Hatters, who have one of the lowest budgets in the second tier. Nevertheless, they are a very capable outfit under Jones.

Daniel Farke’s Norwich City dropped out of the Premier League after a woeful year in the top flight. The Canaries picked up just five wins from 38 matches, losing a staggering 27 games in the process.
