Hannover currently occupy one of the automatic relegation places in the German Bundesliga which is no surprise when you consider their recent results; the visitors have lost four of their last five matches overall with defeats to Augsburg, Schalke 04, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Hertha Berlin.
Hannover have managed to register just two league wins all season to date which incidentally were both recorded at their HDI-Arena with victories against Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, but a poor away record of 0-2-5 8/19 hasn’t done the visitors any favours so far this term.
The visitors have lost five of their last six on their travels with losses at RB Leipzig, Nurnberg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Schalke 04 and Borussia Moenchengladbach, along with conceding 18 goals during this woeful sequence of results.
Indeed, it’s now 19 away matches without a win for Hannover in the Bundesliga and they’re expected to have their work cut out against Mainz here this afternoon.
