MANCHESTER CITY v MANCHESTER UNITED

Sunday 11th November 2018 – Kickoff: 1630hrs

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

The first of the eagerly anticipated Manchester derbies is brought to us this Sunday afternoon when Manchester City take on old rivals Manchester United as the betting tips continue at the Etihad Stadium.

For some time now, the City side of Manchester has held the upper hand since Sir Alex Ferguson retired for United, and along with the substantial financial gulf that now separates Manchester City from their rivals, Pep Guardiola’s side will expect to take the spoils here despite the local derby status.

The hosts have scored 6 goals in their last two matches which has seen them thrash Southampton in the Premier League and then seeing off Shakhtar Donetsk in triumphant style during the week in the Champions League.

Overall, City have won their last six on the trot in all competitions and are unbeaten in their last 11 matches, so confidence amongst the camp will be sky-high. In the Premier League, City still remain unbeaten with an excellent home record which stands at  6-0-0  24/3 which as well as numerous goals, also includes three clean sheets.

Guardiola has a plethora of attacking talent up his sleeve which includes goalscoring midfielders Mahrez (4 goals), David and Bernardo Silva (3 goals apiece) as well as a potent forward line consisting of Aguero (7 goals), Sterling (6 goals) and Sane (3 goals).

Manchester United also chalked up an impressive win in the Champions League when they registered a valuable 2-1 win away at Juventus in Torino which handed Jose Mourinho’s side a third consecutive win in all competitions following Premier League wins over Everton and Bournemouth.

United also bring a four match unbeaten sequence into this local derby with an earlier win over Newcastle United and a point away at Chelsea in an entertaining 2-2 draw, but the Red Devils have already suffered three defeats this season which currently sees them in 7th place and a significant nine points behind their noisy neighbours.

An away record of  3-1-2  11/10 includes surprise losses at Brighton and West Ham, and although they’ve picked up three wins on the road already this term, this will be only the second match against a ‘Big Six’ club.

Mourinho has the likes of Lukaku (4 goals), Martial (5 goals) and Rashford (2 goals) in his attacking personnel but is likely to be without Alexis Sanchez who is an injury doubt.

Manchester City look simply irresistible right now and my betting tips suggest that United just won’t be able to cope with the quality of their opponents.
