Man City have ability to also destroy Middlesbrough!

Premier League Tips

MANCHESTER CITY v MIDDLESBROUGH

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

In midfielder Kevin de Bruyn’s words during the week following Manchester City’s 3-1 home win over Barcelona in the Champions League, “City have shown their true colours” and whilst this may be true, they still need to do a professional job back in the Premier League this afternoon when they face Middlesbrough at the Etihad Stadium.

That said, last weekend Manchester City destroyed West Brom in a convincing 4-0 win at The Hawthorns, and they now hold home advantage against a Middlesbrough outfit who have won just once on the road so far this season. City also possess a strong home record which currently stands at  3-2-0  11/4 and they have a rich supply in attacking talent which has led to goals so far.

The likes of Aguero, Iheanacho and Nolito up front along with midfielders De Bruyne, Gundogan and Silva should simply be too much for Middlesbrough here. Incidentally, City are undefeated in their last eight on home turf.

Visitors Middlesbrough sit in the bottom half of the division although they did manage to register all three points in last weekend’s 2-0 home win over Bournemouth, but they face a very difficult trip up to Manchester here as they look to contain a cock-a-hoop City side fresh from beating Barcelona.

Prior to their recent win against Bournemouth, Middlesbrough had gone seven league matches in the Premier League without a win while their away form suggests they will probably look to contain City and put all eleven players behind the ball.

Boro’s away record stands at a fairly solid looking  1-3-1  4/5 but they’ve taken just one point off teams in the top half of the league which was a 0-0 draw at Arsenal last time out on their travels.
