It seems to be a case of ‘no Kane, no problem’ for Tottenham as they saw out a 1-0 home win over Manchester City in last week’s 1st leg of this quarter-final at their Tottenham Hotspur Stadium despite coveted striker Kane leaving the pitch on the hour mark through injury.
Tottenham then followed up that vital 1st leg victory in the Champions League with a resounding and convincing 4-0 home win against already-relegated Huddersfield Town, courtesy of a Lucas Moura hat-trick to take his goal tally to 10 goals.
That’s now three wins on the trot for Tottenham who also possess the likes of creative and influential midfielder Eriksen (6 goals) and Lamela (4 goals) along with forwards Son (12 goals) and Llorente, but it should be noted that all three of these recent wins for Spurs have been achieved on home turf.
