Manchester City Preview – After their excellent win first time out, are City set to open their home campaign with a win?
The disappointment of last season is now a memory for City who attempt to look forward and reclaim what they will see as their title. Losing the league to Liverpool and being eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League by Lyon meant that Pep Guardiola missed out on his two two targets. On the evidence of their performance against Wolves last week, that looks to have motivated this group of players once again.
Guardiola has been selective in the players brought in and Nathan Ake was the only one to start the win over Wolves. Fernan Torres came on in that game and looks another exciting prospect.
He may not be a new player but Phil Foden is attempting to fill the void left by David Silva who moved back to La Liga in the summer. Foden’s talent is unquestionable, and if there is a coach to get the best out of him then Guardiola would be top of that list. He has nurtured some of the best players in the past decade.
This is one of four really big games for City to start their league campaign. They travel to Leeds next before hosting Arsenal and if they get maximum points out of their start it will be very ominous for their rivals.
Leicester City Preview – Can Foxes make it three wins from three games?
Brendan Rodgers will look back on his first full season in charge with mixed emotions. If you had offered him fifth spot at the start of the campaign then he would have been very pleased and it remains a big achievement. However, having been in the top four for the majority of the season only to stumble at the tail end. There could have been a hangover for Rodgers team but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Leicester have started the season in really good form and sat top of the table coming into this weekend’s fixtures.

A comfortable 3-0 win away to West Brom to open proceedings before a 4-2 success at home to Burnley last week will restore some positivity amongst the squads and support. Rodgers knows how difficult it will be to even repeat their fifth place finish let alone better it, but he will be looking for the Foxes to be competitive with the best in the league.
Like their opponents, it’s been a steady influx of players as Rodgers aims to grow this squad. Timoty Castagne is the big money arrival from Atalanta whilst Cenk Under strengthens their attacking options.
Manchester City vs Leicester City Betting Advice
It’s a really exciting prospect in store with two teams who love to play an open and expansive style of play. Leicester have lost on their last four visits here but their most recent win was in the title-winning season of 2015/16. And it’s one which will be very memorable.
It’s a fixture which tends to bring goals with the last nine league meetings producing 30 goals.
Key Facts – Manchester City vs Leicester City Betting Tip

I’m going to keep on the goals trend for the selection and back both teams to score. It’s been a winner in six of the last eight games between the two clubs.
