Manchester City Preview – Comfortable margin of victory for City?

After a disappointing 2-0 away loss to Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League game, Manchester City will be looking to return to winning ways on Wednesday. Leicester City only managed a draw last time out, so the Citizens remain in second spot in the Premier League table.

Apart from runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool, only Leicester – who have played a game more – have picked up more home points than City in the top tier. Pep Guardiola’s men have won eight, drawn two and lost two of 12 up until now. However, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace in their last home fixture in the Premier League.

Our betting prediction:
Man City to score 3+ goals

The title is out of reach, as Man City are now a whopping 25 points behind Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, but Pep’s troops are in pole position for second place. Victory over struggling West Ham on Wednesday will put the champions four points clear of the Foxes. In truth, City should have no problems in this one whatsoever.

West Ham United Preview – Another damaging defeat on the road for the Irons?

West Ham United have had an abysmal season so far. They were poor while former Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini was in charge, and David Moyes has struggled to make a positive impact at the London Stadium since taking over for a second time.

Since a 2-0 win at Gillingham in the Emirates FA Cup back on January 5th, West Ham are without a victory in six league and cup matches, losing four and drawing two. Their last Premier League win came against Bournemouth (4-0) in Moyes’ first game back in charge on New Year’s Day. The Hammers have not won away from home in the league since beating Southampton 1-0 at St Mary’s in mid-December.

The London club are down in 18th place at the moment, a point adrift of Aston Villa, who are 17th. After travelling to the Etihad, United take on Liverpool at Anfield in their next Premier League game. These are tough times for the Hammers, but can Moyes’ men turn their fortunes around?

Manchester City vs West Ham United Betting Advice

On the opening weekend of the season, Man City ran riot at the London Stadium. Raheem Sterling helped himself to a hat-trick, while Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero were also on the scoresheet in the thumping 5-0 win. The Manchester club have won the last eight league and cup meetings.

Key Facts – Manchester City vs West Ham United Betting Tip

  • Man City have won four of their last six in the Premier League
  • The Hammers are in the bottom three at present
  • West Ham have not beaten Man City since September 2015

City will open up a four-point gap over Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester with victory over relegation-threatened West Ham on Wednesday. This should be a walk in the park for Pep’s superstars, so take a punt on the hosts to win both halves (5/6) at the Etihad.
