Manchester United Prediction

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought the good times back to Old Trafford following the dour and uninventive reign of former boss Jose Mourinho, and United are starting to look like their old selves again under the Norwegian manager.

Manchester United have won their last eight matches on the trot in all competitions, including last weekend’s FA Cup 4th round win over Arsenal 3-1 away at The Emirates as the Red Devils passed another test under the new Solskjaer regime.

On Tuesday night, they return to Premier League action where they’ve won their last six on the bounce, and perhaps just as importantly, scoring a total of 16 goals in the process as the shackles have been well and truly lifted off the United players.

The likes of Pogba, Rashford and Lingard in particular have prospered under Solskjaer and it’s no coincidence that the hosts are producing and delivering upon their undoubted quality now. United now sit in 6th place and at least challenging Arsenal for the Europa League spot, but they’re also now just three points behind Chelsea and a Champions League berth, and with momentum behind them, Manchester United will be tough to stop from here on in.

Key-Facts – Manchester United v Burnley

  • Manchester United have won their last 8 matches on the trot in all competiutions
  • Manchester United have won their last 4 matches on the trot in the EPL
  • Burnley have lost all 3 away matches against ‘Big Six’ opposition

Burnley Prediction

Although Burnley were handed a 5-00 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City in the 4th round of the FA Cup, The Clarets have enjoyed recent success in the Premier League as manager Sean Dyche has managed to turn around the famous Lancashire club’s fortunes in recent weeks.

Burnley return to Premier League action having put together a promising looking four match unbeaten run that includes wins against West Ham, Huddersfield Town and Fulham as well as a point away at Watford as they held The Hornets to a 0-0 draw.

The visitors are unbeaten in their last two away matches amidst a slightly improved away record of 2-3-7 9/22 but the fact remains that The Clarets have lost at Manchester City 5-0, Tottenham 1-0 and Arsenal 3-1 in their matches against teams in the ‘Big Six’ on their travels to date.

Betting Tips Verdict

A confident and free-scoring Manchester United outfit under Solskjaer is becoming ominous and while Burnley have done well against the teams around them in recent weeks, they’ll be under severe pressure at Old Trafford tonight.
