Manchester United’s eight-match sequence without defeat was brought to an abrupt end in last week’s Manchester derby clash against rivals, City, in what turned out to be a humiliating affair at the Etihad Stadium with United losing 4-1.
The Red Devils had previously posted four wins in these preceding eight games with victories over Brentford, West Ham, Brighton and Leeds United but they’d also been held to disappointing draws with Aston Villa, Burnley, Southampton and worst of all, Watford.
With just five wins out of their last 12 home games, this gives Tottenham a chance to pick up at least a point here.
