Maritimo Preview – Can Maritimo continue revival?

Recent back-to-back wins in the Portuguese top flight has helped pull Thursday’s hosts, Maritimo away from immediate danger and out of the relegation zone following wins over Rio Ave and Boavista but they face a tough task at home against Sporting Braga.

Maritimo have won three of their last four matches overall in the Primeira Liga with a previous 1-0 home win against Farense but the hosts have managed to actually win just four of their last 15 matches, losing 10 of these.

Both of these defeats were actually incurred at home but on the road, Braga are unbeaten in their last six matches on their travels, picking up four wins in the process and also keeping three clean sheets too.

Wins at Moreirense, Santa Clara, Nacional and Farense should give the visitors confidence in bouncing back with a win here.
