Welcome to my World Cup 2018 betting tips, and Mexico and Sweden do battle at the Ekaterinburg Arena in Ekaterinburg, in the final round of matches in Group F with Mexico still needing a result in this final match to make absolutely sure of their qualification for the last 16.
Mexico currently sit top of Group F with a maximum six points from their two matches to date thanks to wins over Germany 1-0 and a 2-1 win over South Korea which has now placed them as favourites to emerge from this difficult group.
The Mexicans have impressed so far in this World Cup with their fast, attacking counter-attacks which gave the current World Cup holders, Germany, so many problems throughout their opening group match, and they followed that up with the win over South Korea with Vela and Hernandez starring for Mexico.

Onto Sweden then, and the well-organised Swedes sit joint second with Germany with three points apiece thanks to a match day one 1-0 win over South Korea but they fell foul to the Germans on Saturday night where they conceded a late, late goal to the reigning World Cup holders and heartbreak as they were so close to gaining a valuable point.
Sweden have held firm to their 4-4-2 formation which has served them so well as well as being a team hard to beat through their collective team efforts. They’re also dangerous from set-pieces with aerial threats from Lindelof and Granqvist, and if Sweden can get the ball to their wide players, Claesson and Forsberg, they could create some goalscoring opportunities against Mexico.
Of the two teams though, Mexico surely have the edge over Sweden in terms of moving the ball forward quicker, and with the likes of Lozano, Hernandez and Vela providing the threats up front, my betting tips fancy backing Mexico not to lose this one – they might edge this too.
