Middlesbrough Preview – Will Boro extend unbeaten run to six?
Jonathan Woodgate has had a tough time at the Riverside Stadium since taking over from Tony Pulis in the summer. However, Boro have really turned a corner in recent weeks, winning each of their last four in the Championship.
Middlesbrough beat Stoke City, Huddersfield Town, West Bromwich Albion and Preston North End in league action before holding Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur to a 1-1 draw in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup last weekend.
The club from North Yorkshire have been pretty solid at the Riverside this term, losing just three league matches on their own patch. Woodgate’s side have won four in a row at the Riverside in the Championship.
Middlesbrough were one of the favourites for promotion at the start of the season, but a woeful start to their campaign put paid to a serious promotion challenge. More importantly, they have moved ten points clear of the bottom three.
The home team are the favourites in this one, with the bookies pricing them at 11/10 to secure a fifth home league victory in a row.
Derby County Preview – Can the Rams claim a rare away win this weekend?
Like Middlesbrough, Derby County have also struggled to live up to expectations this season. The Rams have spent the majority of the campaign in the bottom half of the Championship table. Overall, County have taken 33 points from 26 games.
Derby have one of the best home records in the division, with only Preston North End accumulating more home points thus far. However, they have been woeful on the road, failing to win an away league game since the opening weekend of the season.

Phillips Cocu’s Rams head to the Riverside Stadium in decent form, though, winning each of their last three league and cup affairs. After back-to-back 2-1 league wins over Charlton Athletic and Barnsley, Derby won 1-0 at Premier League Crystal Palace in the FA Cup last time out.
