On matchday three, Millwall fell to a 2-1 home defeat to Fulham. The Cottagers raced into a two-goal lead at The Den after just eight minutes. Millwall were then beaten 3-1 by Cardiff City in South Wales last weekend.

Millwall are through to the third round of the EFL Cup after wins over Portsmouth and Cambridge United. The Londoners will now be looking for their first Championship win of the season. At the time of writing, Rowett’s troops are priced at just 5/6 to get the points at the weekend.

Blackpool Preview – Can the Seasiders leave London with a positive result?

Blackpool are back in the second tier of English football after winning the EFL League One play-offs last season under popular boss Neil Critchley. Staying in the Championship will be the aim this season, and Pool have started with two draws and two defeats.

On the opening weekend, Blackpool scored a last-gasp goal to earn a 1-1 draw with Bristol City at Ashton Gate. They then suffered back-to-back home defeats to Cardiff City and Coventry City. Last weekend, though, Blackpool came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

You have to go back the 2014-15 season for the last game between the pair at this level. Both teams won their home match that year. Only one of the last eight meetings between Millwall and Blackpool has ended all square.
