Millwall Preview – Can the Lions end home campaign with three points?
Millwall recovered well from a poor first half to the season, flirting with the play-offs once or twice after the turn of the year. Before a 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town on 20th January, the Lions had picked up just one win from 15 Championship matches.
Millwall have only lost 13 games this season – which is the same amount as Barnsley who have qualified for the play-offs – but too many draws have been their Achilles heel. The London side have drawn 17 of their 44 Championship matches, which is the most in the division.
Since three wins in a row, Millwall are without a victory in four. Their season has petered out after taking just one point from a possible 12. Still, can they end their home campaign with three points?
Bristol City Preview – Will Robins end winless run?
Bristol City made a superb start to their season under Dean Holden, with the Robins spending the first part of the season in the promotion spots. However, after a horrid run of results, Holden was sacked and replaced with the experienced Nigel Pearson.
Pearson’s reign at Ashton Gate got off to a flying start as the Robins beat Swansea City 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium. Since then, though, City have gone on to win just one more Championship game. Last weekend’s poor 3-2 home loss to Luton Town saw the Bristol club slip down to 18th.

Millwall vs Bristol City Betting Advice
Millwall eased to victory in the reverse matchup at Ashton Gate back in mid-December. Tom Bradshaw and Mason Bennett were on target for the Lions, with Famara Diedhiou being sent off for Bristol City late on.
However, the pair have met since then. In the Emirates FA Cup earlier in the year, the Robins ran out 3-0 winners at The Den, with Diedhiou, Nahki Wells and Antoine Semenyo getting the goals.
Key Facts – Millwall vs Bristol City Betting Tip
- Only four clubs have picked up fewer home points than Millwall
- Bristol City have won more away games (eight) than at home (seven) this season
- This will be the third meeting between the clubs this term, with both winning one each so far
Millwall have struggled for consistency at home all season, and Rowett’s side have lost to Swansea and Bournemouth in their last two at The Den, shipping seven goals in the process.
As for Bristol City, they have taken a mere two points from their last four away games. With that in mind, we fancy this to end in an uneventful draw on Saturday. The stalemate is priced at 23/10.
