Millwall Preview – Will the Lions secure first win in four?

Gary Rowett’s Millwall made a solid start to their Championship season, winning four, drawing three and losing only one of their opening eight. However, since making it ten points from a possible 12 with a 2-0 win over Preston North End at Deepdale, the Lions have taken just two points from their last three games.

Millwall have battled to back-to-back away stalemates in their last two, holding both Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday to goalless draws. However, in their previous match at The Den, the London side fell to a shock 3-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
10/11

Millwall do not lose many at home, and they will be eager to hit back after their surprise 3-0 loss to the Terriers at the end of last month. Can Rowett’s side pick up an important three points on their own patch this Saturday?

Cardiff City Preview – Can the Welsh team avoid defeat in the English capital?

Eight of Cardiff City’s 13 Championship points have come away from the Cardiff City Stadium this season. The Bluebirds lost 3-2 at Queens Park Rangers in their last away match, but they have beaten Nottingham Forest and Preston, and drawn with Blackburn Rovers and Derby County on the road.

The mood in the Cardiff camp will be flat after their disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Severnside rivals Bristol City before the international break. That was a real setback for the Bluebirds, who had beaten Barnsley 3-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium just a few days before.

This is a big week for Cardiff, who find themselves languishing down in 15th place in the current Championship table. After travelling to The Den on Saturday, the Welsh side play Coventry City at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium before entertaining Luton Town. Can Cardiff pick up a decent tally from those winnable fixtures?

Millwall vs Cardiff City Betting Advice

It is rarely a dull affair when these two sides lock horns. Last season, both matches ended in draws, with the pair playing out a four-goal thriller in London in October before drawing 1-1 in the Welsh capital on Boxing Day.

Key Facts – Millwall vs Cardiff City Betting Tip

  • Each of the last five Millwall vs Cardiff meetings have ended in draws
  • Cardiff have picked up more points away from home (eight) than they have at the Cardiff City Stadium (five) this term
  • Millwall have lost only one of their past seven in the Championship

The draw has been a very popular result in this fixture in recent years. In the last decade, eight of the last 11 meetings have ended all square. On paper, these two seem well matched. With that in mind, our money is going on the draw on Saturday. We like the look of the draw and both teams to score at 15/4.

The last game between the pair at The Den was a 2-2 thriller. The Lions came from behind twice thanks to two goals from Tom Bradshaw. A repeat 2-2 draw this weekend is available at the tempting odds of 16/1.
