Millwall Preview – Can the Lions roar back with a victory?

Millwall are in patchy form, losing three and winning two of their last five. In midweek, Gary Rowett’s men fell to a 3-2 loss to fellow Londoners Queens Park Rangers. The Lions were 2-0 up at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, but the R’s scored three times in the second period to win the points.

Millwall were beginning to put things right at The Den after winning just one home game until February. Before the 2-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers in their previous home fixture, the Londoners were unbeaten in six on home turf, winning three and drawing three.

Our betting prediction:
1-1 Draw
5/1

Millwall’s play-off hopes are pretty much done and dusted, but Rowett will want his side to finish a respectable season on a high. They have some tricky games on the horizon, so they could do with a positive result from this home fixture.

Middlesbrough Preview – Can Boro make it three wins on the spin?

Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough are starting to find some form again after a woeful start to the year. Since four defeats and a draw from five, Boro have won five of their following eight in the Championship.

The North Yorkshire club make the trip to The Den having won three of their last four to move back up to eighth. After a 2-0 win against Preston North End in midweek, while Reading lost at Birmingham City, Warnock’s troops moved to within five points of sixth spot.

Millwall vs Middlesbrough Betting Advice

Middlesbrough have a good record in this fixture in recent years. Boro are unbeaten in the last six meetings, winning three and drawing three.

Middlesbrough picked up a handsome victory in the reverse match at the Riverside Stadium in December. Boro ran riot in the first 20 minutes, with Duncan Watmore netting a brace either side of Marcus Tavernier’s effort. Millwall had just one shot on target in the entire game.

Key Facts – Millwall vs Middlesbrough Betting Tip

  • Millwall have beaten Middlesbrough just once in the last seven years
  • Boro have won three of their last four in the Championship
  • The Lions have lost only one of their past seven home matches

With Middlesbrough ferociously chasing down a play-off berth, Warnock’s men will be gunning for maximum points at The Den. As for the Lions, Rowett will be looking for a big response from his players after letting a 2-0 lead slip to lose 3-2 at QPR in midweek.

The Londoners are the draw specialists in the Championship, with a staggering 16 of their 37 fixtures ending all square. We like the look of the draw and both teams to score in this one at 15/4. The 1-1 stalemate at 5/1 has also caught the eye.
