Gary Rowett’s Millwall have shot up the Championship table after a solid run of results of late. The Lions are in 12th spot at present, nine points adrift of the play-off places. Overall, the south London outfit have picked up nine wins, drawn 16 times and suffered eight defeats.
Unfortunately for Millwall, they were narrowly beaten at fellow promotion hopefuls Barnsley last weekend. Preston North End have blown hot and cold of late, but Alex Neil’s men put on an impressive performance against Huddersfield Town at the weekend. Goals from Brad Potts, Ched Evans and Scott Sinclair gave North End a comfortable 3-0 victory.
Preston were hammered 4-0 at Cardiff City in their last away game and have lost four of their last six on the road in all competitions, but the Lilywhites have a pretty solid away record in the Championship. In fact, only Norwich City, Cardiff City, Brentford and Reading have picked up more away points up until now.
