Millwall Preview – Can the Lions seal a rare home win?

Millwall have been in pretty woeful form over the past few months. Since October, the Lions have picked up just two Championship wins. However, they did beat Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium in their previous league match, with Scott Malone scoring the only goal of the game in Yorkshire.

Millwall followed that up with a disappointing 3-0 home Emirates FA Cup defeat to Bristol City last weekend. The London side have been poor at The Den all season, picking up one Championship win on their own patch. Since beating Luton Town in October, Millwall have drawn five and lost three of their following eight home league matches.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score – No

Millwall have missed their ferocious home support this season, and things could get worse in the coming weeks, as they entertain league leaders Norwich City in their next home fixture. Gary Rowett’s men need to turn their fortunes around as quickly as possible.

Watford Preview – In-form Hornets to leave The Den with maximum points?

Since taking over from the sacked Vladimir Ivic, Xisco Munoz has guided Watford to four wins from five Championship games. In recent weeks, the Hornets have beaten Norwich, Huddersfield Town, Barnsley and Stoke City.

Last Friday night, Watford edged past the Potters in the Potteries. A Troy Deeney penalty and an Ismaila Sarr goal did the business at the bet365 Stadium. That was just the Hornets’ third away league win of the season, though.

Watford have fared much better at home than they have away from Vicarage Road this season, but the Hertfordshire side will fancy chances of leaving Millwall with maximum points on Tuesday night. The away win is priced at 13/10.

Millwall vs Watford Betting Advice

This will be the first league meeting between the pair since they locked horns in a Championship game back in April 2015. Watford beat Millwall home and away in the 2014-15 season. However, the Lions secured a 1-0 home victory in an FA Cup meeting in January 2017.

Key Facts – Millwall vs Watford Betting Tip

  • Watford have taken 12 points from the last 15 on offer
  • Millwall have picked up just one league win at The Den this season
  • The Hornets are joint second after 25 games played

In-form Watford will be targeting all three points from Tuesday’s trip to The Den. Even though Millwall picked up a win in their last league game, they could struggle to contain the Hornets in this one. Check out the solid price of 15/4 for the visitors to win -1.

Watford skipper Troy Deeney is having a fine season in the Championship, netting six league goals so far. Deeney, who has scored five in his last eight, is priced at 8/5 to notch anytime at The Den on Tuesday.
