Molde have made a disappointing and indifferent start to their new Norwegian top flight season as they sit in a mid-table 8th position and already trail league leaders, Brann, by a margin of 10 points heading into this weekend’s action.
Molde have captured just one league win from their last six outings which was a 2-0 home win over Stromsgodset, but recent defeats to Odd, Bodo/Glimt and Ranheim have prevented them from making an early impact upon the all-important top three positions in the Eliteserien.

Visitors Start find themselves second from bottom in the Eliteserien having registered just two wins so far this season, which incidentally were both recorded at their Sparebanken Sør Arena with wins against Tromso and Bodo/Glimt.
However, switch to their results away form home and you’ll find all sorts of problems for Start as they’ve lost four of their first five away matches of this new campaign with defeats incurred at Lillestrom, Rosenborg, Odd and Sarpsborg.
To make matters worse, their early poor away record of 0-1-4 1/11 includes failing to score in 4 of their 5 away matches, and indeed, problems on the road are no strangers to Start as they’ve failed to win any of their last 29 away matches in the Norwegian top flight.
This should therefore be a straightforward win for Molde here.
