The European Championship qualifiers resume on Friday night and our next fixture features a Group A encounter between Montenegro and Kosovo as the betting tips continue at the Stadion Pod Goricom with the hosts looking to bounce back from their recent mauling to England…
Montenegro – Can Montenegro bounce back with a win?
Montenegro started their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign reasonably enough as they grabbed a solid point in a 1-1 draw away at Bulgaria but were then handed a heavy 5-1 defeat at home by Group A favourites, England, in their last group match back in March so they’ll be keen to bounce back with a result on home turf on Friday night when they entertain Kosovo.
Montenegro have lost 3 of their last 4 matches in all competitions which includes earlier defeats to Serbia and Romania in the Nations League, but they did record home and away wins over Lithuania in the same competition while their point at Bulgaria will give them belief against a lesser opponent in this clash.
However, 5 defeats from their last 7 matches isn’t great preparation upon which to build their hopes of securing 2nd place behind England who are expected to win this group at a canter, but this will be their first meeting against Kosovo and they hold home advantage here.
Kosovo Prediction – Can Kosovo grab 2nd spot?
Kosovo also started their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a 1-1 draw with Bulgaria but on home turf at their Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri, but this extended the visitors’ unbeaten run in all competitions to 12 matches which is not a bad sequence of results on the international stage.
Within this 12-match unbeaten run are no fewer than 8 wins which include notable victories against Albania 3-0 away and a 4-0 home win over Azerbaijan along with recent points against Denmark and Bulgaria in a friendly and the Euro qualifiers respectively.
Kosovo were only granted international football status as recently as 2016, and after a disastrous start to life on the international stage which saw Kosovo lose 9 of their 10 World Cup qualifying matches, they’ve since tightened up and have started to grind out some notable performances and results.
the visitors have a further three group matches where they stand a reasonable chance of gaining further points before a date with group leaders, England, in mid-September, so we can expect them to buckle down and try and get something from their trip to Montenegro this Friday night.

Betting Tips Verdict
Montenegro’s recent results suggest they’re by no means guaranteed of the points here, while Kosovo are enjoying a decent spell of form.
