Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands are on the cusp of securing qualification to next year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Dutch are top of Group G on 19 points, two clear of Norway and four ahead of Turkey. This Saturday night, Oranje make the trip to the City Stadium in Podgorica to face Miodrag Radulovic’s Montenegro, who still have slim qualification hopes. Montenegro Preview – Can the Montenegrins upset the Dutch?
Montenegro have had a mixed bag of results during this qualifying campaign. So far, the Brave Falcons have won three, lost three and drawn two. They are currently in fourth spot with 11 points to their name, five points away from second-place Norway.

Netherlands have recovered extremely well after starting their campaign with a poor 4-2 defeat to Turkey in Istanbul on matchday one. Since then, the Dutch are unbeaten in seven Group G games, collecting 19 points from a possible 21.
Holland have all but secured a place in the top two, but Louis van Gaal’s troops will want to win the group ahead of next week’s match with Norway in Rotterdam. If the Norwegians drop points against Latvia on Saturday, Oranje will seal direct qualification to Qatar with three points against Montenegro.

Van Gaal’s in-form side head to Podgorica as the odds-on favourites with the bookies. They eased past them in the reverse fixture in Eindhoven two months back, and Holland should have no problems in this one, either.
