Motherwell Preview – Can Motherwell avoid third defeat?
Early back-to-back defeats in their opening two matches of this new Scottish Premiership season wasn’t the sort of start that Motherwell would have envisaged before this new term commenced, but disappointing losses to Ross County (away) and Dundee United (at home), mean that Wednesday’s hosts will be looking to avoid a third defeat on the trot here.

Losses to St Mirren (1-0 away) and Hibernian (4-1 at home) mean that the visitors are in the same boat as their hosts, Motherwell, and they too will be keen to avoid a third defeat on the trot in this upcoming clash at Fir Park.
However, although Livingston finished in 5th place last term, it was largely due to an impressive set of results at home as they lost just twice all season at their Tony Macaroni Arena, while results on the road were less convincing as they finished with a record of 2-5-9 22/31 which included just one win from their final 14 away matches.
