Napoli returned from Switzerland a victorious unit during the week when they recorded an emphatic 3-1 win away at FC Zurich in the first leg of the round of 16 in the Europa League with one foot already seemingly in the last eight of the competition, with a second leg tie at their Stadio San Paolo coming up.
On the domestic front, Napoli are unbeaten in their last five matches overall, and indeed, have lost just once in their last 16 matches overall in Serie A, which was a narrow 1-0 defeat away at Inter Milan, but recent wins against Bologna, Lazio and Sampdoria – all on home turf, along with draws with AC Milan and Fiorentina, both away from home, should see the hosts in confident mood for this encounter.
Turning to home form, and Napoli have been dominant on home turf this season as they still remain unbeaten at their Stadio San Paolo with a fantastic record that stands at 10-2-0 28/7 which includes winning their last five home matches on the trot, scoring a total of 13 goals and conceding just 3 in reply.

Torino have lost just one of their last seven matches in the Italian top flight which was a 3-2 loss at Roma, but otherwise, the visitors have been in reasonably good form as they’ve picked up wins against Empoli, Inter Milan and Udinese in recent weeks, along with draws against Sassuolo, Lazio and SPAL.
However, it’s worth mentioning that Torino’s three victories outlined above were all recorded at their Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino where they’ve registered six wins out of their total of eight for the season to date, while results away from home have been less convincing.
As you can see, an away record of 2-9-1 14/11 is absolutely dominated by the draw, and this may be one of the reasons that Torino find themselves only in 8th place rather than challenging for a European spot as they’ve failed to deliver the necessary cutting edge up front.
