Netherlands Prediction

In a tough group which pitted the wits of Netherlands, France and Germany in League A Group 1, it was the Netherlands that surprisingly came out on top thanks to a superior goal difference of +4, edging out France to win the group.

It was another campaign for the Germans to forget as they ended up on just two points which saw them relegated down to League B, but the Dutch reigned triumphant and their success was a long time coming after a few years in the footballing wilderness on the world stage.

Netherlands started their campaign in disastrous fashion though as they were handed a 2-1 loss away at France, but the Dutch rallied to record back-to-back wins against Germany and France at home, winning 3-0 and 2-0 respectively before gaining a valuable point in a 2-2 draw away at the former World Cup winners, Germany.

After a few years of indifference and quite frankly, disappointing results, Netherlands must now be respected again having beaten the present and former World Cup champions in the shape of France and Germany, and they should easily account for Belarus here.

Key-Facts – Netherlands v Belarus

  • Netherlands lost just 1 of their 4 group matches in the Nations League
  • Netherlands have won 7 of their last 8 home matches in all competitions
  • Netherlands have won the last 2 encounters against Belarus, 3-1 and 4-1

Belarus Prediction

Belarus also emerged triumphant from their UEFA Nations League campaign as they topped Group 2 in League D as they won a four-nation group by a margin of four points ahead of runners-up Luxembourg as they also remained unbeaten throughout the group matches.

In truth, it was a pretty weak group which consisted of Luxembourg, Moldova and San Marino, but Belarus at least showed they’re too good to be placed amongst the ‘minnows’ of the European teams and will now look forward to League C football next time out.

Overall, Belarus have lost just once in their last 11 matches in all competitions, that being a 2-0 loss away at Finland, but without disrespect, most of their opponents have been from the League C/D bracket in recent times.

When they’ve had to travel to face teams of a stronger ilk, they’ve tended to come out second best as defeats at Sweden 4-0, Switzerland 1-0 and France 2-1 testify, but they’ve also fallen to defeats at Macedonia 3-0 and Armenia 4-1 as well.

Betting Tips Verdict

Netherlands will be keen to make the most of home advantage here and should race into an early lead.
