Gerhard Struber’s New York Red Bulls kicked off this season with back-to-back defeats to Kansas City and LA Galaxy, losing both by just one goal.
They got their act together on matchday three, however, beating Chicago Fire 2-0 in Harrison, with Cristian Casseres Jr and Caden Clark getting the goals. Clark was on the scoresheet in another 2-0 New York home win in game four, this time seeing off Toronto.
The Red Bulls have gone backwards since then, though, falling to away losses to Philadelphia Union and New England Revolution. Metro have started with two wins and four defeats from six, leaving them in tenth spot in the Eastern Conference table as a result.
Orlando City Preview – Lions to extend unbeaten record?
Orlando City are one of just three teams in MLS yet to suffer defeat this season. Oscar Pareja’s men are riding high in second position at present, two points behind leaders New England, who have played a game more.
So far, the Florida franchise have won three and drawn three of their opening six MLS fixtures. City opened up with draws with Atlanta and Kansas before beating Cincinnati 3-0 at home. After a matchday four draw with New York City, Orlando have beaten DC United and Toronto in the last two, both by a goal to nil.

Orlando could leapfrog New England at the top of the table if result go their way this weekend. If the Revs fail to beat Cincinnati, a win will take the Lions to the summit of the Eastern table.
