Premier League Betting at Marathonbet

Newcastle United Prediction

After a run of three league matches without a win, Newcastle United bounced back with a 1-0 win away at struggling Huddersfield Town last Saturday to earn Rafa Benitez’s side a valuable three points which lifted The Magpies away from immediate relegation danger and up into 14th place.

Recent defeats to West Ham 3-0 and 2-1 against Wolves (both at home) threatened to undo Newcastle’s previous three-match winning streak but a point away at Everton was a solid result and they now return to St James’ Park where they’ll face winnable opposition in the shape of bottom club Fulham.

Newcastle will be keen to further improve upon a poor home record of 2-0-7 7/15 on Saturday, particularly having lost their last two on the trot to the aforementioned West Ham and Wolves. Manager Rafa Benitez is expected to start leading goalscorer Rondon (4 goals) up front with Perez (2 goals) playing a supporting role just behind the Venezuelan striker.

Fulham Prediction

Fulham still remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the Premier League following last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham which handed Claudio Ranieri’s side a third loss in four matches. The task on Ranieri’s hands of keeping Fulham up appears to be getting harder after each game Fulham play and they face a tough trip up to the north-east this Saturday.

With just one win from their last 14 matches overall along with the prospect that Ryan Sessegnon (1 goal, 3 assists) is a major injury doubt for the visitors, makes this an extremely tough ask of Fulham who have so far failed to win a single match away from home this season.

An away record of 0-1-8 6/24 includes Fulham losing their last seven matches on the trot on their travels, conceding a total of 19 goals and scoring just 3 in reply. Fulham’s leaky defence has been well documented and needless to say they’ve failed to keep a single clean sheet on the road to date.

Striker Mitrovic (7 goals) offers a glimmer of hope for the visitors as he’ll no doubt be keen to prove a point to his former club and manager Rafa Benitez but the expected absence of Ryan Sessegnon is a big blow to Fulham’s creative resources.

Betting Tips Verdict

This represents a very winnable match for Newcastle who I’m expecting to get across the line here, but take the handicap for extra insurance.
