FA Cup Betting at Bet Victor

Newcastle United Prediction

Newcastle United will be in buoyant mood ahead of their 4th round FA Cup clash with Watford on Saturday afternoon having recorded back-to-back wins with a 3rd round FA Cup win over Championship side Blackburn Rovers, winning 4-2 in extra time at Ewood Park, along with last weekend’s valuable 3-0 win over Cardiff City.

That win over Cardiff City lifted The Magpies out of the bottom three of the English top flight and although they’ve really struggled for consistency throughout the whole of this season, Rafa Benitez’s side will fancy their chances of progressing through to the 5th round with home advantage in this cup-tie.

Newcastle have won just three of their 13 home matches in all competitions so far this season but amongst those wins was a 1-0 win over today’s opponents Watford, so the hosts will be confident of repeating this result on home turf in the cup today.

Forwards Rondon (5 goals), Perez (3 goals) and Joselu (2 goals) look to be Newcastle’s best bet of scoring in this one.

Key-Facts – Newcastle United v Watford

  • Newcastle United have won their last two matches on the bounce
  • Newcastle United beat Watford 1-0 in their last meeting at St James’ Park
  • Watford are unbeaten in their last 5 away matches in all competitions

Watford Prediction

Watford take a solid five match sequence without defeat in all competitions with them up to the north-east this Saturday afternoon as they look to be in the hat for the 5th round draw for the FA Cup on Monday night, on the back of a 3rd round 2-0 win away at National League outfit Woking and a 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Watford have hit the heady heights of 7th place in the top flight but this is more than likely the highest they’ll get this season as they trail 6th placed Manchester United by 11 points and the way that the Red Devils are playing at the moment, it looks like Watford would have to make do with a 7th place finish at best.

Not that manager Javi Gracia would mind at all, in fact he’d be delighted with where The Hornets are right now, especially as they’re five matches without defeat away from home in all competitions as well.

Betting Tips Verdict

Although Watford have impressed lately, especially away from home, I fancy Newcastle United to squeeze past their London visitors with home advantage here – use the draw no bet option on Newcastle United.
